STUART, Fla. – July 9, 2026 – Stuart Therapeutics, Inc. (“Stuart”), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company developing first-in-class collagen-reparative therapeutics to treat eye diseases, today announced that CEO Eric Schlumpf will present new research results at the 9th annual OIS Retina Innovation Summit on July 14, 2026 in Montreal, Canada.
During the meeting, which gathers retina clinicans, investors and industry leaders, Schlumpf will share important upates on the company’s developments in retinal disease and specifically, retinitis pigmentosa (RP). Though Stuart has previously disclosed the potential for application of its PolyCol™ collagen mimetic peptides (CMPs) in treating retinal diseases, this will be the first time the company is presenting on RP as an indication. In addition to evaluating the technology’s therapeutic potential, Stuart is exploring both traditional and alternative methods of administration.
“There is no cure for RP, and treatment options are limited, thus the disease burden is significant,” said Schlumpf. “Based on the results of our preclinical studies, including a recently completed IND-enabling study, we believe that our PolyCol CMPs show promise as a potential new and novel therapeutic approach for this disease.”
